Mr. Maryland Leather 2011
boy Alex grew up in the suburbs of Baltimore and is no stranger to the Mid-Atlantic Leather Community. He began his leather journey in 2001 when an acquaintance first took him to the Baltimore Eagle. There, he was introduced to the world of leather, the joys of not wearing cologne, and of course, the hanky code. Yellow and green right are his favorites. Over the next few years a love for leather and kink blossomed, and in the fall of 2010, Boy Alex took home the title of Mr. Maryland 2011.
As Mr. Maryland Leather 2011, Boy Alex made it his mission to bring more local visibility to the issues of suicide and depression among gay youth. His fundraiser raised over $2,000 for SPEAK, Suicide Prevention Education Awareness for Kids. SPEAK is one of the only Maryland based organizations that deals directly with childhood and teenage suicide prevention. More recently, boy Alex has served as a Past-President of the Ship Mates Club of Baltimore, and is also a founder and Co-Producer of the Atlantic States Leather Sir, Boy, and Community Bootblack
contest. He is humbled to have been a part of the Continued presence of ILSb/ ICBB in the Mid-Atlantic and looks forward to witnesing the continued growth of the Atlantic States family for years to come!
As life changes, we are all presented with new opportunities and responsibilities. boy Alex recently decided to step away from contest producing to focus on personal and career growth. He has been honored and thrilled to have been asked to step into the role of Judge Emeritus and looks forward to serving our family in a new role.
